Day Wise Itinerary

Upon arrival at Khajuraho Airport or Railway Station, you will be met by a Beyond Khajuraho Tours chauffeur outside the arrival hall. You will then be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Standard hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs.

 Upon arrival at the hotel, you will receive your Beyond Khajuraho Tours kit, along with all necessary travel documents and contact details for local support.

 Later proceed to visit the renowned Khajuraho Western Group of Temples (Open daily from sunrise to sunset). This UNESCO World Heritage Site represents the finest expression of Chandela-era temple architecture, adorned with intricate sandstone carvings depicting divine figures, celestial beings and scenes of refined medieval life.

Continue to Kandariya Mahadev Temple (Open daily from sunrise to sunset), the largest and most elaborate temple in Khajuraho, celebrated for its soaring spire and remarkable sculptural detail dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight stay in the hotel.

After breakfast, drive towards Panna with enroute visits.

 

Visit Kalinjar Fort (Open daily from sunrise to sunset). One of India’s most ancient and historically significant hill forts, Kalinjar has witnessed several dynasties and is closely associated with Chandela rulers. The fort offers commanding views and houses ancient temples, including those dedicated to Lord Shiva. Continue to Brihaspati Kund (Open daily from sunrise to sunset). This hidden natural gem is a spectacular waterfall surrounded by dense forest, known for its serene ambience and mythological significance associated with Sage Brihaspati.

 Thereafter proceed to Panna and check in at your jungle lodge. Standard hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs. Overnight stay in the hotel,Panna.

Early morning proceeds for a shared Jeep safari into Panna National Park. The park remains open from 1st October to 30th June and is closed during the monsoon season (generally July to September). The park remains closed on Wednesday

Spread across a rich landscape of teak forests, plateaus and the Ken River ecosystem, the reserve is home to Royal Bengal Tigers, leopards, sloth bears, spotted deer and diverse birdlife. The safari is conducted with an authorised forest guide and naturalist, offering an immersive wildlife experience.

 

Return to the lodge for relaxation.

 

In the afternoon, proceed for another shared Jeep safari in Panna National Park, exploring a different zone subject to permit allocation, enhancing opportunities for wildlife sightings. Overnight stay in the hotel, Panna.

After breakfast, drive to Khajuraho.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Khajuraho Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
